The Setting

Our wedding takes place in Saint-Lizier, a medieval hilltop village in the French Pyrenees, and one of the most beautiful villages in France. Perched above the Salat river with views stretching out to snow-capped mountains. The village is home to two Romanesque cathedrals, ancient Roman walls, and cobbled streets that have barely changed in centuries.

Our Wedding

The first time I saw him, he was waiting for a cold creamy Stella at the bar. I remember glancing over and thinking, Oh, he’s seriously fit. When I sat at my table, the chair next to me was empty and thought, how brilliant would it be if he had the minerals to come over and introduce himself?

Well, he did. We got chatting, then he asked for my number and we went our separate ways. I was sure I’d never hear from him again. I thought about him now and then, but eventually he became just another young hot stud I passed in the night. Then, a few months later, out of the blue, he messaged me saying ‘You up?’. The rest is history.

Dress Code

We’re keeping things relaxed, and comfortable across the weekend: light fabrics, relaxed tailoring, linens.. etc

Wedding casual, no black tie. Suits are not required. Smart summer holiday outfits, wear what you feel good in.

Festival style swimwear and attire. We recommend bringing a cover up or change of clothes for the evening when the temperatures change.

Travel

Most guests will be traveling from London and the UK. The closest major airport is Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (approx. 1 hour from the venue). Other regional options include Carcassonne Airport (1.5 hours) and Bordeaux Airport (3 hours) There are frequent direct flights to Toulouse. From Toulouse, we recommend hiring a car for the weekend. Driving time to the château is approximately 60 minutes on the motorway. For guests choosing to drive from UK to Calais via Eurotunnel or ferry, then it's approx. 8-9 hours driving through France to South-West region. Please note if you are choosing to drive, the tolls on French motorways are very expensive.

Airport Transport

While a car is recommended for ease and flexibility, for those hiring a car, we will be helping to coordinate group travel to/from Toulouse airport for those on specific flights.

Taxi Service

On both Saturday and Sunday nights we will be retaining a local taxi service for trips from the chateau to local accommodations. We will provide information on shared transfers closer to the date.

Places to Stay

Options include boutique hotels, Airbnb's, and private villas. We recommend booking early as availability is limited in the region. Our Registry

We feel incredibly lucky to be celebrating our wedding with you. We know travelling to France is no small thing, and your presence this weekend truly is the greatest gift we could ask for.
